Tokens or Towers answers a question people get wrong in both directions: which AI models are worth paying for, and whether there is any reason to buy hardware and run your own. The planner asks six questions, takes about ninety seconds, and returns a short list with reasons attached. It routes each workload to the least expensive model that plausibly handles it, and adds local hardware only when privacy or sustained use can justify the purchase. The tagline is the thesis: capability without the accidental data center.
The recommendations are checkable. Prices and benchmark scores link to their sources — provider claims and independent evals kept as a dated snapshot, with the stated caveat that scores only compare within the same suite. The catalog is kept deliberately small: models that can be priced and defended, not everything with a weights file.
